December 2008 - Jetboil Personal and Group Cooking Systems
Recall of certain Jetboil Personal (PCS) and Group Cooking Systems (GCS). Safety alert applies to Jetboil Personal and Group Cooking Systems shipped to Jetboil dealers between July 10 and September 9, 2008. Potential defect applies to stoves sold since July 10, 2008 which utilize the Jetboil “B” style gas valve. Affected stoves may experience a gas leak and subsequent ignition of the gas leak. September 2008 - Petzl Myo Series Headlamps
Product safety alert applies to all Petzl Myo series headlamps manufactured before the end of June 2008, including Myo, Myo 3, 4 or 5, Myo Belt 3, 5, SB5 or XP, Myolite or Myolite 3, and Myo XP. Potential defect applies when rechargeable batteries are used with the affected headlamps. When the headlamp is used with rechargeable batteries, if a short-circuit occurs in the cable connecting the battery case to the lamp, the cable can spark, melt, or catch fire. This poses a burn hazard to the user. Our item numbers for these headlamps are 445160, 445162, 445163, 445164, 445171, and 210079. Affected Petzl model numbers are E26P, E31 P, E26PN, E32 P, E27P, E33 P, E27PN, E83 P, E28P, E83 P2, E28PN, E84 P, E29 P, E84 P2, and E30 P. June 2008 - Omega Pacific Link Cam
Inspection notice applies to #1 and #2 Link Cams, regardless of manufacture and purchase date. Potential defect applies to the axel nuts on the Link Cams in question. Defective axel nuts were not properly and permanently fixed on the axel assemblies, permitting potential disassembly. Our item numbers for these cams are 640750 and 640785. Sept 2007 - Petzl Sarken Crampon
Recall affects any/all models of Petzl Charlet Sarken Crampons, sidelock, spirlock, wirelever, or leverlock, any binding system with black or orange colored metallic parts. Our item numbers for these crampons are 111571 and 640634. The frontpoints of Sarken crampons are susceptible to premature wear out following heavy use. Please contact us for return information. July 2006 - Black Diamond Speed Buckle Harness
Recall includes all harnesses in this small group, including the Focus Speed, Gym Speed, Momentum Speed, Vario Speed, and Wiz Kid Speed. Affected harnesses were sold between December 2005 and June 2006. These harnesses may have incorrectly threaded waist and/or leg loop buckles. Stop use until inspected. March 2006 - Trango Maxcam #1
Recall includes only #1(red) Maxcams from batch numbers 0605 and 0705, sold in 2005 & 2006. The batch number can be found below the strength rating on the outside of the cam lobe. Our item numbers for these cams are 6406820001 (single) and 640783 (set). Only #1 Maxcams from these batch numbers are affected, all other Maxcams can be used with confidence. The recall is due to the fact that a small number of these Maxcams have head axel rivets that do not meet the minimum specified diameter, possibly resulting in failure of the cam assembly. Please discontinue use of these cams and return them to Trango. Contact us for return information. See Trango Maxcam #1 recall notice.
